The View hosts mocked former President Donald Trump on Wednesday for struggling to arrange a $454 million bond to comply with a New York court ruling in his civil fraud case involving New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Trump lawyers said in a filing that they approached 30 companies and were unable to get an insurer that issues court bonds to accept property as collateral. They stated that getting a bond in the judgment’s full amount was a “practical impossibility.”

“I can’t wait to see the chains on Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue. I’m kind of excited about it,” co-host Sunny Hostin said.

The show segment opened with host Whoopi Goldberg announcing that “you-know-who” cannot “come up with the cash.” Her co-hosts responded with giggling and laughing as Goldberg pretended to be upset at the news.

“Do you need a tissue?” Joy Behar quipped.

“I don’t know if I’m laughing or crying,” Goldberg responded.

James has threatened to seize Trump’s assets in New York, which could include Trump Tower, if he is unable to find the cash to cover the fine.

“Is Letitia James going to go, like, put a chain on Trump Tower?” Goldberg asked the panel.

“No one wants to lend him the money in this country,” Behar said. “Who knows what will happen with Russia and Saudi Arabia because they know he doesn’t pay his bills back.”

“I guess he didn’t make enough money in the golden sneaker thing or the Trump University or the Trump steaks,” she added.

The hosts speculated that Trump could ask his wealthy son-in-law Jared Kushner.

“That was surprising to me that Jared is not going to give him part of his $2 billion cash,” Hostin said. “I will say this, to reiterate, the reason people will not lend him money is because he is notorious for stiffing people that work for him.”

Former White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin then took shots at Fox News commentator Mark Levin.

“Some of these folks at Fox News are raging that billionaires are not stepping up to give the money to Trump, and one of them was Mark Levin,” she said.

Griffin claimed Levin is worth $50 million but is “not ponying up” any donations to the former president.

“Fox News is still paying off a $800 million settlement with Dominion because they lied for Trump with the election. So he hurt people on both sides,” she added.

Co-host Sara Haines scoffed at people questioning why Trump couldn’t find the funds.

“Why won’t they give him money? No one wants to give away money they’re not even having a slight chance of getting back,” Haines said. “The Koch brothers supported Nikki Haley! Like, this guy is persona non grata.”

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee can appeal to New York’s highest court and is asking the court for a stay in the judgment.

The New York attorney general’s office pushed back on Wednesday in response to the former president’s request for a stay in the civil fraud judgment.

“There is nothing unusual about even billion-dollar judgments being fully bonded on appeal,” Senior Assistant Solicitor General Dennis Fan said Wednesday in a filing. “Defendants object to a possible ‘fire sale’ if they were to sell assets to generate cash to use as collateral for a bond or as a deposit — but the alternative would be to shift the risk of executing on defendants’ illiquid assets to OAG.”
