Seabrook, New Hampshire — Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley celebrated Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.

“Boy are things changing fast,” Haley declared to cheers from a crowd of supporters at Seabrook, New Hampshire, in her first remarks since DeSantis dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.

Haley recounted her trek up the polls, starting at 2% and then supplanting her rival DeSantis for second place in national polling. She congratulated the Florida governor on a good campaign and praised his performance as governor.

“That being said, it’s now one fella and one lady left,” Haley said.

“This comes down to — what do you want? Do you want more of the same? Or do you want something new,” she continued, going on to list her goals as president.

“What the people of New Hampshire should know, is when we win the presidency in this country, I will do everything I can to prove to you that you made the right decision,” Haley declared.

“But for now, I’ll leave you with this — may the best woman win,” she said to applause.

DeSantis announced that he was dropping out of the race on Sunday, setting up a showdown between former President Donald Trump and Haley for president. DeSantis endorsed Trump and said it was his priority to keep Haley away from the presidency.

In a statement Sunday, Haley said that the U.S. is not “a country of coronations. Voters deserve a say in whether we go down the road of Trump and Biden again, or we go down a new conservative road.”

She continued, “New Hampshire voters will have their say on Tuesday. When I’m president, I will do everything in my power to show them they made the right decision.”
