Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will return to Capitol Hill at 10 a.m. to testify on the department’s fiscal budget, which is currently proposed at $813.5 billion.
Hegseth’s hearing with lawmakers comes amid the ongoing riots in Los Angeles, in which he deployed 700 Marines to respond. Hegseth warned that the Pentagon intended to deploy troops to other cities in if riots break out and threaten the safety of law enforcement officials.
