Monica Lewinsky flexed her social media muscles Thursday with a post taking part in a popular Taylor Swift trend where fans share an anecdote from their past and add a specific Swift song lyric from her newest album.

Lewinsky referenced the Clinton administration with a picture of the White House and the lyrics, “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.”

The social media post appears to be a joke with a bit of truth mixed in as the former White House intern was front and center in the scandal of her affair with former President Bill Clinton in the mid-1990s, which the president famously denied.

Most commenters on the post praised Lewinsky with a few saying she “wins” the trend that originates from Swift’s song “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” off her Tortured Poets Department album. The tweet had over 11 million views at publishing.

Other users have pointed out Lewinsky’s tweet as a play for attention, but she has always been active on social media.

The tweet is intriguing given Lewinsky’s past admissions that while their relationship was consensual, Clinton took advantage of her as he sat in a position of power.

Lewinsky has also called their relationship inappropriate, and an FX television series fictionally chronicled it.

Lewinsky is currently a self-described anti-bullying activist and has contributed to Vanity Fair multiple times in the past few years.
