The Supreme Court could release its ruling on Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump’s eligibility to run for office in Colorado on Monday.
The high court released an unusual announcement that it would issue at least one ruling on Monday, with many speculating that it will be the decision about Trump’s place on the Colorado ballot, given the state is holding its primary on Tuesday.
The announcement stated that the court’s opinions may be posted on its homepage beginning at 10 a.m. “The Court will not take the Bench,” it added.
After Colorado ruled Trump was ineligible to appear on the state’s ballot due to his alleged interference in the 2020 election, the former president appealed the decision and asked the high court to hear the case, which it accepted. The Colorado Republican Party asked the Supreme Court to rule on the case before Super Tuesday, adding to the expectations that Trump’s status on the ballot will be known by Monday afternoon.
Trump has not commented on the speculated coming decision, nor did his campaign respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.

Maine and Illinois have also removed Trump from their state’s ballot; The Supreme Court’s decision on the Colorado case will likely stretch beyond the Centennial State and affect Trump’s eligibility in all 49 other states.
This is the first of two cases the Supreme Court justices agreed to hear regarding Trump. In April, the court will listen to the former president’s argument for presidential immunity in Jack Smith’s election subversion case.
