The condition of the victims ranged from critical to non-life threatening, and they were transported to area hospitals, including Stroger, Loyola, Northwestern, and Mt. Sinai, Chicago police Supt. David Brown said during a press conference.
Among the victims are a 3-year-old, an 11-year-old, and a 13-year-old. The other victims are adults, Brown said.
According to Brown, pod video shows a vehicle driving by the incident location and opening fire randomly into the crowd.
Preliminary investigations indicate there were two shooters inside the vehicle, Brown said.
“It began, and it was over in about 3 seconds,” Brown said.
