At least three people were wounded during a shooting in Midtown Atlanta on Monday, according to local police.
The shooter is not in custody and police are advising locals to steer clear of the area while police officers sweep the area for a suspect, the City of Atlanta Police Department said in a statement.

“We are currently working an active situation in Midtown. Preliminary information indicates three people have been shot. The shooter is not in custody and we have multiple officers in the area searching for the suspect,” the police department said.
Police specifically advised residents to stay clear of the “areas between 12th St and Peachtree St NE and 15th St and W. Peachtree St NW.”
