Romeo + Juliet and John Wick star John Leguizamo is confident President Joe Biden will perform well with Latino voters in next year’s election.
Leguizamo, who helped Biden’s last campaign, promised to support him again in 2024 as he entered Wednesday’s state dinner with Australia.

“He’s doing the right things, which is getting Latino consultants and talking to Latino experts, who will tell him how to address, how to make the effort,” the actor said. “If you make the effort, we will be there, but you have to make the effort.”
He added, “He’s doing all that, him and Kamala Harris as well.”
Leguizamo quipped the politician he would most like to play is Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Biden is underperforming among Latinos, particularly those from working-class backgrounds, according to multiple polls. His campaign announced this month it was making its first minority voter radio advertisement buy as part of its $25 million paid media program.
“This historic investment reflects our commitment to earning every vote and doing so well ahead of November 2024,” Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said. “Tapping into trusted messengers early with such a robust radio buy is the latest example of how we’re showing up and meeting black and Latino voters where they are.”
