Current and former politicians regularly ask for a hefty fee for speaking engagements. Here are the fees for some potential 2024 presidential contenders.

Donald Trump

Former President Donald Trump’s speaking fee before he entered office in 2017 was an average of $117,000, per a report from Yahoo Finance. One of his appearances before he announced his candidacy garnered $450,000.

After leaving the presidency in 2021, Trump began touring with the American Freedom Tour, per Axios. It has not been reported what his speaking fee was between leaving office and announcing his 2024 bid for the presidency in November.

Joe Biden

Before winning the 2020 presidential election, President Joe Biden made a reported base of $100,000 per speaking engagement after his two terms as vice president, per Politico. A 2019 Washington Post report suggested he made up to $200,000 on some engagements.

Mike Pence

Former Vice President Mike Pence has reportedly charged upward of $100,000, per a 2021 Vanity Fair report. Pence has been teasing a presidential run in 2024. He also released a book titled So Help Me God in 2022 and had several speaking engagements while promoting it.

Nikki Haley

Former South Carolina GOP Gov. Nikki Haley, who is reportedly going to announce a White House bid on Feb. 15, was asking for as much as $200,000 per engagement after leaving the Trump administration in 2019, per a report from CNBC.

The public speaking listing for Fauci has now been taken down, with the link now directing to an error page. Fauci retired from his position at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and from medical adviser to Biden at the end of last year.

Fauci also served as part of the White House Coronavirus Task Force during the Trump administration.
