Former White House Communications Director Alyssa Farah Griffin warned that the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago could “tear the country apart” if it was not done for a “credible reason.”

The Trump staffer-turned-critic said on CNN Tonight on Monday evening that she worries for the stability of the country in the aftermath of the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Florida resort.

TRUMP SAYS FBI ‘RAIDED’ MAR-A-LAGO

“I hope that DOJ went about this meticulously and that there is a ‘there’ there because if not, it will tear the country apart. You [are] already seeing it, the rhetoric already that’s coming out from my fellow Republicans, and I’m really hoping that this was done for a credible reason and that it goes somewhere,” Griffin said.

Griffin also said she believes someone close to the former president is cooperating with the FBI and tipped the law enforcement agency off to the location of sensitive documents.

Griffin has been a frequent critic of Trump since resigning from her White House post in December 2020. She joined ABC’s The View as a co-host last week.
