President Joe Biden’s doctor stated Monday afternoon that the president is still continuing his duties and that the public will be informed of any changes in his recovery process.

The statement from Dr. Kevin O’Conner comes a day after Biden announced via a statement on social media that he will not be continuing his 2024 reelection run. Since then, multiple Republicans have been asking where exactly Biden is, as several days have passed since his last public appearance after catching COVID-19 last week.

“President Biden completed his eighth dose of Paxlovid this morning. His symptoms have improved significantly,” O’Connor’s letter read Monday. “His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear. The President continues to perform all of his presidential duties.”

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has repeatedly asked for Biden “to provide the American people with proof of life,” with her most recent request made Monday afternoon while sharing O’Conner’s letter. Boebert has contended that a letter from his doctor is “not proof of life.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) similarly questioned Biden’s whereabouts on social media, asking, “Is he ok?”

Former Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) also weighed into the matter, asking his followers bluntly, “Anyone else think Biden is dead?”

Shortly after announcing he would not continue his 2024 campaign for president, Biden gave his endorsement to Vice President Kamala Harris to take his spot as the Democratic nominee. Multiple other lawmakers have also endorsed Harris, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA).

During a campaign rally for Harris on Monday evening in Delaware, Biden’s voice was heard promising to soon be “out there in the campaign with her, with Kamala.” The audio of his voice, however, did little to quiet questions and confusion.
