President Joe Biden took a victory lap about Democratic victories across the country on Tuesday and took some jabs at former President Donald Trump during a campaign fundraiser on Thursday.
Biden pointed out election wins in Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania to supporters in Chicago, per ABC News. He particularly claimed that Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) won reelection by running on programs championed by his administration.

“In Kentucky, a Democratic governor was reelected … running on programs that were all Biden initiatives to the White House,” Biden said.
The president also took several swipes at the front-runner in the Republican presidential primary, whom he bested in 2020. He said people are “winning elections” by running on his agenda.
“People are voting on it, and people are winning elections on it over and over and over,” Biden said. “The press and pundits keep being surprised. They can be surprised as much as they want, but since I came off the sidelines to go toe to toe with Donald Trump, we haven’t stopped winning.”
Biden added that Trump “can’t get tired of losing,” a clear jab at how his likely opponent touts himself as a winner despite a series of under-par Republican election performances.
The president also doubled down on his claims that the media is only focusing on a few polls which show him losing to Trump while not paying attention to ones that show him ahead of the former president.
“There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, nine, 10 other polls, and every one we are winning except the two we are tied. The point is the CNN and New York Times polls are the only ones you heard about. So, your money is not wasted,” Biden said.

Earlier on Thursday, Biden had clashed with Fox News’s Peter Doocy over poll numbers and said he did not think he was trailing in key swing states despite a recent New York Times-Siena College poll.
The poll, released last weekend, showed Trump leading Biden in five of six swing states just a year from the presidential election. The survey, taken from Oct. 22 to Nov. 3, shows Trump up 52% to 41% in Nevada, up 49% to 43% in Georgia, up 49% to 44% in Arizona, up 48% to 43% in Michigan, and up 48% to 44% in Pennsylvania. The poll showed Biden leading Trump 47% to 45% in Wisconsin.
