Iconic stand-up comedian Bob Newhart has died at the age of 94.
Newhart’s publicist, Jerry Digney, announced the news Thursday, saying he died after a series of short illnesses, per Variety.
Newhart first gained nationwide fame in 1960 through the release of his stand-up routine titled, The Button-Down of Bob Newhart, which earned him a Grammy Award for album of the year.
He became a hit television star in the 1970s and 1980s through two shows, The Bob Newhart Show and Newhart.

Newhart is survived by four children and 10 grandchildren.
