British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Thursday he will be resigning, adding that it was "clearly now the will" of the parliamentary Conservative Party that there should be a new leader.

Johnson said that the process of selecting a new leader will begin now and an official timetable will be announced to the public next week.

“No one is remotely indispensable,” Boris commented in a speech outside 10 Downing Street.
