Chicago police are asking the public for help in finding a man seen in a live newscast brandishing a gun at a local news team.

The frightening moment happened Wednesday morning during a segment, presented by Fox 32 reporter Joanie Lum, on the rise in gun violence in the city. The man can be seen skipping by behind Lum and pointing what appears to be a pistol in his right hand toward the camera.

“Thank you to the viewers who were watching Good Day Chicago and called or emailed to make sure our crew was OK,” the news station said.

Good Day Chicago co-anchor Anita Padilla said both Lum and the cameraman were threatened during the segment but that neither were harmed. “The gun was one foot from her head as [the suspect] pointed at the camera or cameraman Gary,” Padilla tweeted. “[Lum] is understandably shaken. Thank God she is okay.”
