Schneider shared that he voted for Trump in 2016.

“It was in California, and I was writing on my kitchen counter — I had the ballot because, you know, in California, they mail you like 100 of them,” he joked. “I was just filling them out. Not all of them. I’m not an a**hole, but you know three or four … five at the most,” the comedian quipped.
He revealed that he met the former president numerous times, having acted with him when he starred in the film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Schneider noted that he made a joke on The Tonight Show that Trump hated.
“The difference between me and Donald Trump is, when I got started, my dad didn’t give me $40 million,” he joked, sitting next to Trump on set.
He added, “I swear to God, Trump looked right at me and said, ‘That’s not true. That’s a lie. You’re a liar. Liar … You Liar! Not True. He just lied.'”
Schneider recounted that several years later, he was invited to be a judge in the Miss USA pageant, owned at the time by the former president.
He revealed that Trump had met him backstage, encouraging him to “vote for whoever you want” and insisted that he was “not going to tell him who to vote for” but then followed up with the comment, “But if you love your country, like I love my country… if you’re a patriot, then you’re going to vote for the blonde from Texas.”
“Then America can win Miss Universe. You want America to win, right?… Vote for who you want,” Schneider recalled Trump’s comments.
Schneider admitted that he was impressed with a candidate who was working her way through medical school and decided to vote for her.
He jested that Trump was unhappy with the judges and called them “losers.”
“You don’t love your country,” Schneider recalled while mimicking Trump’s voice.
The Miss USA owner added, “We’re going to lose to China… loser. You don’t love your country. I do. You don’t.”
Schneider apologized for not voting for Trump’s pick and added that he was sorry for his joke about him on Leno’s show which Trump had since forgotten until that moment.

“I hate you now. Loser,” he remembered Trump saying to him as he left the pageant.
Schneider wrapped his story about his relationship with Trump, remembering that he thought, “Whatever. It’s not like you’re ever going to be president of the United States.”
