House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said he believes President Joe Biden and his family received millions of dollars as part of the “alleged criminal scheme” that the House GOP is investigating.

Comer said Thursday during a Fox & Friends appearance that bank records indicate nine Biden family members were involved in a scheme of “creating policy for money,” receiving over $20 million from foreign sources.

When asked to elaborate on what policies, he said, “We’re going to get into that,” citing changes that the president made to energy policy and investigations into China.

When asked whether he thought the president was “compromised,” Comer said, “Absolutely.”

“He’s compromised because he’s taken so much money from China. When you go in and you end the China initiative … they ended that because they said it was racial profiling. That was discrimination,” Comer said. “But the university presidents, even the most liberal ones, wanted that. They ended that. That’s an example of a policy decision.”

The House Oversight Committee has identified six policy decisions that they claim were influenced by Biden’s connection to foreign groups. The president has denied any involvement in foreign business dealings.

Comer said the committee is going to continue bringing people in for depositions.

“All the people that were on the inside of these so-called business deals, they’re going to be able to tell exactly what the Bidens did in exchange for this money,” Comer said. “They’re going to tell what Joe Biden knew and how involved Joe Biden was in the family schemes, and I think that’s the most important thing that will come out of the depositions.”

The committee chairman said both IRS and FBI whistleblowers claim the Justice Department told them to “stand down” and not go poking around the “big guy,” a nickname reportedly given to Biden by the Ukrainian oligarch who owned Burisma.

“We have FBI whistleblowers that Sen. [Chuck] Grassley (R-IA) and I have worked with that said that they were told to stand down on this investigation of Biden bribery,” Comer said.

“We have a situation here where our federal government has been involved in a cover-up. It’s generated by the Department of Justice, and it continues with the Hunter Biden plea deal,” Comer added.

The younger Biden agreed to plead guilty to two federal tax charges and struck a deal to resolve a felony gun possession charge last week. Comer, like many Republicans, called the plea deal unacceptable.

Gary Shapley, a current IRS agent and whistleblower, estimated that Hunter Biden received $8.3 million from three foreign firms. However, Comer said that based on “all the money that the Bidens took in” from Burisma, a Ukrainian company that employed Hunter Biden, the amount received by Hunter Biden is likely to “exceed $20 million.”

“This is a slap in the face of every American who works hard and pays taxes and believes in our system of justice,” Comer added.
