Country singer John Rich has released a new song called “I’m Offended,” which he says is intended to be commentary on the current “absurd” culture in the United States.

The song is a part of Rich’s newest album, The Country Truth, which released on Aug. 18, with “I’m Offended” featuring “all the things that people get offended about.” The song’s music video was released a day prior to the album’s release and features Redneck Riviera, a bar that Rich owns in Nashville, Tennessee, the singer explained on Tuesday during an appearance on Newsmax.

“So there’s a guy drinking a beer, it says ‘sissy beer’ on it, he’s got his pinky up with his mask, and there’s this girl sitting next to him like ‘what is your problem?'” Rich said. “She hands him another beer and he takes the mask off and chugs it. It’s commentary on our culture right now. It’s pretty absurd.”

The beer joke in the music video is a reference to the Bud Light fiasco that occurred earlier this year, in which the popular beer generated public backlash over its partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Since its partnership, Bud Light’s owner, Anheuser-Busch, has lost millions of dollars in revenue.

“Seems like these days, no matter what you say, someone’s losing their ever-loving mind. It’s like they’re looking for a reason to have their fragile feelings hurt every single time. My country truck, I gas it up. You got your fancy Tesla hooked up to a plug. I know you’re mad, you think I’m bad ’cause I’m breathing free at last, and you’re still stuck behind your mask,” the song’s lyrics read.

During his interview, Rich praised fellow country singer Oliver Anthony, whose song “Rich Men North of Richmond” has taken the country by storm. He stated that he has talked with Anthony “almost every single day” and that Anthony has told him he wants to remain an independent singer, which Rich encouraged him to do so.

Last week, Anthony revealed that he brushed off various $8 million offers from the music industry. The singer stated that it was because he does not “want to play stadium shows,” nor does he “want to be in the spotlight.”
