Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre “a terrible, terrible liar.”
“I want to play poker with Karine Jean-Pierre because she is a terrible, terrible liar,” Cruz told Hannity. “She’s got a ‘tell’ — you know, sometimes at a poker table, someone will twist a ring, or they’ll pull an ear, or do something when they’re bluffing.”

“Karine Jean-Pierre, her tell is she’ll tell you that ‘I’m going to tell you the exact same thing I’ve told you a thousand times before,’” Cruz continued. “You know the next words out of her mouth are going to be totally different from anything she’s ever said before.”
Cruz’s comments come the evening after Hunter Biden left his federal court hearing in Delaware Wednesday morning with his planned plea agreement having fallen apart. Lawyers disagreed about the scope of the deal, and U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika raised “concerns” about its terms.
“This was designed to give Hunter Biden a slap on the wrist, let him get away with zero jail time, and its most important function was to cover up for the ‘Big Guy,’ to cover up for Joe Biden,” Cruz said. “I think if this plea hearing had been the day after the plea deal was announced, I think they probably would’ve stuck to their guns, and it might as well have been improved. But what happened is several weeks passed, and as several weeks passed, more and more evidence came out.”

“Suddenly, the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office in the court realized they couldn’t stand up in court and say, ‘No, we’re not going to investigate any of this new evidence that came roaring out.’ That became impossible to say,” the senator added. “I’m glad it blew up. This deal stunk from day one, and it was about covering up Hunter and, more importantly, covering up Joe Biden’s involvement in the corruption.”
On Wednesday, Noreika gave prosecutors and Hunter Biden’s defense team 30 days to further discuss the details of the agreement. The court is expected to reconvene in the coming weeks to reexamine the case.
