A Delta Air Lines employee went viral on Tuesday after a transgender actor and social media influencer accused the ticket agent of misgendering the customer.
The exchange was posted on Tommy Dorfman’s TikTok account on Saturday, where a Delta employee is being confronted for not referring to the customer by female pronouns.

In the video, Dorfman is not seen, but a masculine-sounding voice behind the camera is heard arguing with a Delta employee.
“And what about when a Delta employee misgenders you intentionally?” Dorfman said to the Delta employee at the beginning of the video.
@tommy.dorfman when you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met woth even more transpbobia and threats of being arrested at laguardia. tristan, the employee, said he was fine with me posting this. didnt realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly.
The gate agent tries to talk to the passenger, saying, “While you’re talking, she’s — he’s talking too.”
“You just misgendered me again, multiple times, both of you have,” Dorfman responded.
The Delta employee replied, “OK. Gotcha. … It wasn’t intentional, but if you want to take it personal, that’s also—”
Dorfman interrupts, “She did do it intentionally twice.”
“You’re talking to me too,” the Delta employee responded.
“You said he and then you said she,” the transgender activist replied.
The Delta employee then pushed back at Dorfman.
“You’re being condescending,” the gate agent said to Dorfman, “and if you want to continue, I’ll have Port Authority escort you out the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me. … Would you like to continue three days before Christmas? I really don’t mind.”
“When you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met with even more transphobia and threats of being arrested at LaGuardia. Tristan, the employee, said he was fine with me posting this. Didn’t realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly,” Dorfman wrote on TikTok.
Dorfman confirmed that the Delta agent did call the port authority.
“The man actually called port authority. Two police officers actually showed up ~10 min later and spoke to me and my partner about the incident,'” Dorfman said in response to a comment on the post.
The social media post was met with various opinions.
“Love seeing people like you get humbled,” one person wrote on the TikTok post.
“You’re both in the wrong here. You’re being completely condescending and actually entitled. He admittedly made a mistake misgendering- he apologized and you continued to be passive aggressive,” a social media user responded.
“@delta this agent is a ROCK STAR – polite and firm with BS for this fool. Give this agent a raise,” another person wrote on the TikTok post.
Collin Rugg posted the video on X, formerly known as Twitter, and it received over 5 million views.
“Give this man a raise!” Rugg said.
He added, “The person in the video, a friend of Dylan Mulvaney, shared it to TikTok in an effort to ‘expose’ the employee but it backfired miserably.”
Rugg followed up with another post explaining the TikTok poster was an actor on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.
Dorfman has previously done videos showing boys how to inject estrogen.
The TikTokker also interviewed Dylan Mulvaney in October.
Dorfman is not the only transgender activist to accuse Delta Air Lines of misgendering.
@Delta why did your flight attendant just misgender me then refuse to apologize or correct herself when I told her not to call me sir… and why when I ask for disability assistance when booking flight, was I refused assistance with my suitcase on the flight..?

Rose Montoya, a transgender influencer infamously known for going topless at the White House and getting banned, accused Delta of misgendering in May.
“@Delta why did your flight attendant just misgender me then refuse to apologize or correct herself when I told her not to call me sir… and why when I ask for disability assistance when booking flight, was I refused assistance with my suitcase on the flight..?” Montoya said in a social media post tagging Delta airlines.
Montoya continued, “Clearly your flight attendants don’t know the law.”
