Democrats are touting the Inflation Reduction Act in key swing states ahead of the 2024 election in an attempt to boost President Joe Biden’s chances to secure a second term in the White House.

Democratic lawmakers are highlighting the policy, which was signed into law one year ago, in multiple 2024 swing states through events aimed at highlighting Biden’s economic policy as the president seeks to win over voters across the country.

BIDEN HEADS TO WISCONSIN NECK AND NECK WITH TRUMP

Biden’s reelection campaign is hoping to win over working-class voters that commonly lean more Republican. State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta, who is part of the Biden-Harris National Advisory Board, will hold an event Wednesday to advocate the impacts the Inflation Reduction Act has brought.

The president commenced his first campaign event for his reelection in the Keystone State in June. Last week, Vice President Kamala Harris made a trip to Pennsylvania to announce a new Department of Labor rule, giving higher wages to construction workers on federal projects.

Biden has also been ramping up his efforts to highlight the Inflation Reduction Act’s impact on clean energy manufacturing in Arizona, a vital western swing state. Three years ago, Arizona carried Biden, flipping the longtime Republican hold.

The administration will touch base with Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, another member of the Biden-Harris National Advisory Board, on Wednesday. Last week as part of his tour, the president announced a new national monument near the Grand Canyon to protect the area from uranium mining and extend preservative measures set to expire in 2032.

Biden flipped Wisconsin narrowly in 2020, securing a major electoral win as it was a state former President Donald Trump won in 2016. Biden visited Wisconsin on Tuesday to play up his economic agenda, one week before Republican 2024 hopefuls are set to take the stage in their first debate.
