Former President Donald Trump took a shot at Alec Baldwin during a rally in Pennsylvania on Friday, pointedly asking whether the actor pulled the trigger of the gun that killed a cinematographer on the set of Rust last year.
Trump derided Baldwin as a “psycho” and a “sick puppy,” while suggesting Saturday Night Live’s replacement Trump impersonator was better than Baldwin even though Trump hasn’t watched him.

“By the way, Alec Baldwin, did he pull the trigger? I think he’s a sick person I’ve been I’ve watched him he’s a psycho. Something happened,” he mused at the rally. “And he shouldn’t have done those interviews.”
Last year, Baldwin held a prop gun near cinematographer Halyna Hutchins that was set off, killing her and injuring director Joel Souza. Baldwin claims he never pulled the trigger and instead released the revolver while rehearsing a scene. The tragic on-set shooting is still being investigated and has been subject of litigation.
Baldwin has been a staunch critic of Trump and impersonated him in an unflattering on Saturday Night Live for years. Trump panned the NBC comedy show as a “horrible show” during the rally on Friday, noting that he hosted it in the past and drew “great ratings.” Trump then suggested that Baldwin’s replacement was an upgrade.
“Alec Baldwin’s a sick puppy, he was I don’t know I haven’t seen the new guy but I hear he’s better than Alec Baldwin,” he needled.
