DONALD TRUMP INDICTED: WHAT THE FORMER PRESIDENT’S DEFENSE WILL ARGUE

“You know I retired the word crooked from Hillary, ’cause Hillary doesn’t matter anymore,” Trump said, eliciting cheers from the audience.

Trump’s comment on Clinton comes only a day after Clinton announced through social media that her “But Her Emails” hats and other assorted items were on sale for a limited time. Onward Together, her political action organization, sells the merchandise.

The mocking phrase “But Her Emails” refers to the controversy behind Clinton’s use of a personal email server while she was secretary of state during the Obama administration. Her private server was a cornerstone of Trump’s attacks on her during the 2016 presidential election.

After investigating the issue, the FBI decided not to charge Clinton for using the server.

Trump announced on Thursday evening that he was indicted, and the 49-page indictment was unsealed on Friday. It laid out 37 counts against the former president, alleging that Trump was “personally” involved in the transport of the documents from the White House to his Mar-a-Lago home.

Republican lawmakers are divided over the indictment of Trump, with Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney being critical of the former president for his handling of the documents. Other Republicans, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, stated their concern over the indictment of Trump being politically motivated amid the former president’s 2024 run.
