Former President Donald Trump posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, for the first time in over two years after he turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Thursday.
Trump broke his X silence to post a graphic and a link. The graphic included his mug shot, taken Thursday when he surrendered, and the link redirected to a Trump fundraiser.

Trump’s surrender on Thursday resulted from charges regarding alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.
Trump, along with over a dozen of his allies, was charged earlier this month in Fulton Superior Court. Among other things, Trump was charged with violating the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Trump used his surrender as an opportunity to raise money as he faces mounting legal and campaign costs.
On Truth Social, Trump posted a news clip of himself saying he should be able to challenge the election, which he called “rigged.”
The post was accompanied by a similar link to a Trump donation site.
Trump was also reportedly selling shirts capitalizing on his mug shot.
