Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) showed her support for former President Donald Trump, who surrendered himself at the Fulton County Jail on Thursday.

Greene greeted and spoke to Trump supporters behind a barricade after the former president arrived at the jail in Atlanta on charges in relation to alleged efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election.

“The reason why I’m here is because this is my home state. I was born and raised in the state of Georgia, and I’m here as a Georgian,” Greene said outside the jail.

The staunch Trump advocate showed her support on X, formerly known as Twitter, by posting an altered mug shot.

Republican House members opened an investigation into Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Thursday as well.

“We’re launching an investigation into Fani Willis through the judiciary committee,” Greene told the press, adding House GOP members are “going to make sure she loses her job.”
