SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk ripped into President Joe Biden Monday, attacking his ineffectual administration and comparing the teleprompter-reliant president to fictional news anchor Ron Burgundy.

Musk, 50, the wealthiest man in the world, made the comparison while speaking on a podcast at the All-In Summit, according to a report.

“The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter,” Musk said. “The path to power is the path to the teleprompter.”

“I do feel like if somebody were to accidentally lean on the teleprompter, it’s going to be like Anchorman.”

The 2004 film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy follows the career of a narcissistic anchorman named Ron Burgundy.

Burgundy, played by Will Ferrell, sees his career as a news anchor collapse after he reads a malicious line hastily written on a teleprompter by his rival and future love interest Veronica Corningstone, played by Christina Applegate.

During the podcast, Musk also slammed the Biden administration for its ineffectual nature.
