Twitter CEO Elon Musk predicted Saturday morning that if the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicts former President Donald Trump, he will win “in a landslide” in the 2024 presidential election.
“If this happens, Trump will be re-elected in a landslide victory,” Musk said in a tweet Saturday.

Musk’s tweet came after the former president shared on his Truth Social platform at 7:26 a.m. on Saturday morning an all-caps message declaring that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has plans to arrest him on Tuesday next week.
“NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!,” Trump wrote on his social media platform.
The expected indictment stems from the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation into hush money that Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen paid to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 to prevent her alleged affair with Trump in 2006.

The tweet from the Twitter executive was in response to a social media user posting a video of a news report detailing a possible arrest of the former president, writing in the post, “If this happens, it will be the beginning of Trump’s reelection.”
In November 2022, Musk reinstated Trump’s banned Twitter account on the Twitter platform.
