“I can’t even imagine Britain without this Queen,” television anchor Piers Morgan tweeted. Elizabeth was the longest-reigning monarch of the United Kingdom, serving as queen for over 70 years. “Very unsettling day,” he concluded.

Morgan went on to change his profile picture on Twitter to one of him smiling alongside the queen.

“For my whole life Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has always been there,” Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger tweeted. “In my childhood I can recall watching her wedding highlights on TV. I remember her as a beautiful young lady, to the much beloved grandmother of the nation. My deepest sympathies are with the Royal family.”

I’m Proud She Was a [bull] & Happy She Had a Great Sense Of Humor.”

The queen had a string of cancellations in her schedule as she dealt with poor health. Her death comes a year after her husband, Prince Phillip, died.
