An FBI official revealed that she had not read the Durham report during testimony to the House Committee on Homeland Security.
FBI Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Jill Murphy testified in front of Congress on Tuesday. During the testimony, Rep. August Pfluger (R-TN), the chairman of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, questioned Murphy about the Durham report, only for her to reveal that she had not read it yet.

“I have not read that report, sir,” Murphy answered when asked if she was familiar with it. She added that she had not read the Durham report “yet” when asked again.
Pfluger stayed silent for several seconds following her response.
“I’m honestly speechless at this point in time,” he finally said. “I’m not sure what to think of this as someone who has spent an entire career in counterintelligence.”
Pfluger then briefly explained the findings of the report, saying the FBI had worked with uncorroborated evidence, and asked if it concerned Murphy.
“So again, sir, I haven’t read the Durham report. So I’m not sure, you know, I have no knowledge of—” she responded, trailing off.

Pfluger asked if there was a reason why Murphy hadn’t read the report yet, to which she answered that she hadn’t had time to. The Tennessee Republican then recommended that she read the report.
Durham’s final report was released on May 15. Though not recommending any criminal charges, the special counsel issued a scathing indictment of the FBI, writing that its handling of the investigation was “seriously deficient” and caused “severe reputational harm.”
