Florida police are asking the public for help in solving the murders of three teenagers who were found dead in three separate locations.
The first victim, 16-year-old Layla Silvernail, was discovered Thursday night on the side of the road with a gunshot wound; she was rushed to the hospital but died from her wounds shortly after, CNN reported. The second, a 17-year-old male who was not named, was found the following morning, fatally shot on the side of the road. The third and final victim, whose identity is being withheld at the request of the family, was found dead in a partially submerged vehicle.

Lt. Paul Bloom with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department said they have several suspects, but “whether one person is arrested or multiple suspects are arrested has not been determined.”
“We have a ton of evidence from all three crime scenes,” he continued.
Due to the severity of the crimes and the small size of the community, Forest Lakes Park, Sheriff Billy Woods is confident that turning to the public will bring answers.
“We’re looking for help for the families who have lost a loved one,” he said. “There are folks out there that know. You’ve got information.” Woods added that 15 detectives are investigating the case.

The murders have rattled the small central Florida community.
“Forest Lakes Park is a community of about 1,500 people, at most,” Bloom said. “We have parents that have been concerned about letting their child leave the house.”
