The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in Delaware will wrap up payments, worth up to $1,691, for the month of July in three days.
Eligible low-income households in the state who are recipients of SNAP benefits are set to see their payments by July 23. Delaware has one of the longest windows in the United States for issuing payments, which are given out over the course of 23 days.

Benefits start being sent out in Delaware on the second day of each month with the amount depending on the size of a family. A single household will get just $281, while an eight-member household will receive $1,691, according to Delaware.gov.
The date on which recipients receive their payment is determined by the first letter of their last name. Once received, recipients have access to the funds through an EBT card, which can be used like a credit card.

Any amount left on an EBT card at the end of each month will roll over to the next month, meaning users will not have to rush to use any amount they didn’t already spend. As long as the card is regularly used, the benefits will not expire.
SNAP benefits can only be spent on food and nonalcoholic drinks. SNAP is active across all states and Washington, D.C., with benefits being loaded on cards, mainly EBT cards like in Delaware.
