Recipients with a Social Security number ending in 18, 38, 58, 78, or 98 should have collected benefits Wednesday. Those with an SSN ending in 08, 28, 48, 68, or 88 should have collected benefits Thursday, those ending in 19, 39, 59, 79, or 99 should see them Friday, and so on.

Benefits are loaded monthly onto an electronic benefit transfer card, which can be used like a debit card at qualifying stores to purchase eligible grocery items such as bread, dairy products, meat and poultry, and drink items. Pet food, alcohol, and household items such as soap and paper products are ineligible for purchase through SNAP.
