Former New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte, a Republican, announced her bid on Monday for the governor’s mansion in 2024.
Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) announced last week that he doesn’t plan to seek reelection in the state despite having one of the highest approval ratings among governors.

The New Hampshire Republican served as a senator for the state from 2011 to 2017, when she lost her bid for reelection to Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH).
Former state Senate President Chuck Morse has also launched a bid for governor in the state as a Republican.
Democrats Joyce Craig, the mayor of Manchester, and Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington have also revealed their candidacy.
