Goodfellas actor Paul Sorvino died on Monday at the age of 83, according to his family and publicist.

Sorvino’s wife, Dee Dee Sorvino, was with him at the time of his death at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, his publicist, Roger Neal, told the Associated Press. The actor, who played former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in the 1995 film Nixon and NYPD Sgt. Phil Cerreta on Law & Order, died of natural causes, Neal said.

“Our hearts are broken,” Dee Dee Sorvino said in a statement. “There will never be another Paul Sorvino. He was the love of my life, and one of the greatest performers to ever grace the screen and stage.”

SOPRANOS STAR TONY SIRICO DIES AT 79

Although the actor is best known for his roles in mafia movies, appearing alongside James Caan in The Gambler and Al Pacino in The Panic in Needle Park, his personal interests included opera, poetry, and painting, according to the report. Caan died earlier this month at the age of 82, and Tony Sirico, who played mobster Paulie “Walnuts” Gaultieri on The Sopranos, died July 8 at the age of 79.

“Most people think I’m either a gangster or a cop or something,” Sorvino told the Associated Press. “The reality is I’m a sculptor, a painter, a best-selling author, many, many things — a poet, an opera singer, but none of them is gangster. … It would be nice to have my legacy more than that of just tough guy.”
