Designers have drawn up plans to build dual skyscrapers up to 1,600 feet tall, running parallel for 75 miles in Saudi Arabia based on the direction of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The project, called the Mirror Line, if completed, could be the world’s largest structure. It is a part of Crown Prince Mohammed’s plans for a linear community that is expected to cost up to a trillion dollars, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Plans for the project from last fall show that it will include a high-speed train to run under the mirrored buildings, a sports stadium located 1,000 feet above ground, and a marina.
The structure is one of several projects to be included in a megaproject called Neom, a car-free city running about 105 miles long that could welcome residents as soon as 2024.
The idea was first conceived by the crown prince to help diversify the country’s economy from its main money-maker, oil. Noem is being built near the Red Sea in northwestern Saudi Arabia.

Despite ambitious plans being drawn up, it’s yet to be known whether the project will come to fruition. Some have questioned the project’s feasibility, as it has been plagued with setbacks.
Master plans are being finalized for the futuristic city, and several prominent members of its advisory board exited after the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to Bloomberg.
