Hamas has claimed that 13 hostages it is holding after its brutal weekend attack have been killed in Israeli airstrikes, including foreign nationals.
The militant group was reported to be keeping some 150 people captive, including Israeli soldiers, civilians, and even possibly U.S. citizens. As of 4 a.m. Washington time Friday, there was no response regarding the alleged deaths of hostages from Israel.

Israel’s military said it has so far notified families of 97 Israelis taken hostage by Hamas that their loved ones are being held, according to the Times of Israel.
The militant group did not specify which foreign countries the supposed dead hostages belonged to.

The death toll from the raging conflict in Israel and Palestine has climbed to more than 2,500, and thousands more have been injured. The war has also claimed 27 American lives, with 14 other U.S. citizens unaccounted for as of early Friday morning.
The Israel Defense Forces late Thursday ordered the evacuation of northern Gaza, home to 1.1 million people, the United Nations said. Hamas, however, instructed Palestinian citizens to remain in their homes and accused Israel of engaging in “psychological warfare.”
