Actor Jamie Foxx has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a New York City restaurant in 2015, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday with the New York Supreme Court.
The unnamed plaintiff alleged in the court filing that the Oscar-winning actor told her she had a “supermodel body” and placed his hands under her clothes, groping her while at the Catch NYC & Roof on Aug. 27, 2015.

She claimed she unsuccessfully attempted to step away while Foxx continued touching her despite security guards and other witnesses who only “walked further away.” The lawsuit also said Foxx only stopped once one of the woman’s friends came around the corner and saw what was happening.
The woman is suing Foxx, 55, and Catch NYC & Roof for an unspecified amount of compensatory and punitive damages related to medical treatment and emotional distress caused by the “sexual assault, abuse, assault, and battery.”
The lawsuit was filed just before the deadline for the New York Adult Survivors Act expires on Thursday.

In April, Foxx was hospitalized after a reported “medical complication.” The actor broke his silence in July on Instagram to ensure people that he “went to hell and back” but that he was able to work, ensuring he was “coming back.”
Foxx has not publicly commented on the allegations.
