The Jan. 6 committee released 34 transcripts Wednesday, making questioning the panel conducted of star witnesses such as Alex Jones, Roger Stone, and Michael Flynn public.

Earlier in the day, the panel delayed publication of its highly anticipated final report until Thursday after it had been slated for Wednesday as Congress weighs a massive $1.7 trillion omnibus bill and hears from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

JAN. 6 COMMITTEE DELAYS RELEASE OF HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FINAL REPORT

“Today, the Select Committee made public 34 transcripts of witness testimony that was gathered over the course of the Select Committee’s investigation into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol,” the committee said in a statement.

The transcripts feature testimony from a range of key figures in the Trump administration, such as lawyers John Eastman and Jenna Ellis, in the run-up to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and coinciding efforts to overturn the 2020 election. It also features depositions from right-wing figures such as Nick Fuentes, an accused white supremacist, and Alex Jones, a known conspiracy theorist.

Fuentes recently drew headlines for attending a dinner with former President Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago last month alongside Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West. He has rejected the label of white supremacist.

A number of witnesses invoked their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination in the transcripts, such as Julie Fancelli, who helped organize the White House Ellipse rally that preceded the riot; Bianca Gracia, who led Latinos for Trump; Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis; conservative commentator Charlie Kirk; and Michael McDonald, who chairs the Nevada Republican Party.

Occasionally witnesses invoked the Fifth Amendment during rudimentary questions. Stone, a Republican strategist and stalwart Trump ally, pleaded the Fifth Amendment when pressed about his age and address. He also did so when asked about whether Jan. 6 violence was “justified” or whether he ever called Trump’s personal cellphone.
