President Joe Biden handed out Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters for nearly 90 minutes at the White House on Monday night, and while doing so, was seen repeatedly coughing into his hand before grabbing presidency-themed M&Ms and Hershey Kisses to give to the children.


President Joe Biden handed out Halloween candy to trick-or-treaters for nearly 90 minutes at the White House on Monday night, and while doing so, was seen repeatedly coughing into his hand before grabbing presidency-themed M&Ms and Hershey Kisses to give to the children.

At one point, the president dropped a child’s candy on the ground, with his hand shaking as he handed them some other candy that he didn’t drop.

Another child showed Biden their fake ice cream cones, and the president playfully put a cone in his mouth, pretending to eat it.

The president was asked by a reporter what “he was going as” in his black jacket and baseball cap, but Biden did not answer.

The weather was a chilly 58 degrees Monday night in Washington, D.C., as the 80-year-old president stood outside for the Halloween event.

The Bidens’ Halloween decorations featured a cardboard cutout of their dog Commander, who has infamously attacked numerous Secret Service agents and White House staff, next to an illustration of their cat Willow, which the first lady Jill Biden dressed up as this year.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also joined in on the event wearing white angel wings and a halo while she read the book First Broom.
