Podcaster Joe Rogan outlined how the United States has changed since former President Donald Trump left office and President Joe Biden took over.

Tuesday’s episode of The Joe Rogan Experience featured former mixed martial artist and Olympic wrestler Dan Henderson in a brief discussion of Trump’s influence as president. Rogan opened the door by claiming Trump’s regulations “certainly helped the economy.”

“Boy, do f***ing things change,” Rogan said, comparing the era before 2016 to today. “He was in all the rap songs. Rappers would always talk about Trump. Everybody loved Trump. He was like this wheeling, dealing billionaire character that everybody enjoyed.”

“I felt like he did a decent job,” Henderson agreed. “I feel like we were in a lot better spot then than now, for sure.”

“Without a doubt,” Rogan agreed but also relented “a lot” has happened since then, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, for example.

“The world scares the s*** out of me right now,” Rogan went on to say. “Right now, I’m like, ‘Boy, this is not good.’ This Ukraine thing is not good. Everything is not good.”

“There’s no good solutions to the Middle East. All of it looks terrible, and the Ukraine thing looks terrible,” he continued.

Rogan went so far as to speculate that the current moment could be compared to the time leading up to World War II.

Both Biden and Trump are in the middle of campaigns for their respective second terms in office. Trump is facing off against 10 other Republican candidates for the party’s nomination, while Biden has two opponents for the Democratic nomination. Additionally, there are two independent candidates in the running.
