“We launched this grassroots effort less than a week ago and the response has been incredible! Americans across the country are pouring in and calling on Governor Ron DeSantis to run for president because they are hungry for conservative leadership. I’m excited to begin building our effort in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Nevada over the next two weeks,” a statement from the PAC said.
The tour will commence in Iowa on Wednesday, followed by a trip to New Hampshire later this week, then South Carolina and Nevada next week. On Monday, news broke that DeSantis is planning to travel to New Hampshire on April 14 to promote his new book and possibly build inroads with locals as he eyes a presidential run.
Last week, DeSantis traveled to Iowa, where he met with Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds and touted his record in Florida as a model for the nation. He is also expected to travel to Nevada and possibly South Carolina over the coming weeks.
Cuccinelli launched the Never Back Down PAC last week, insisting that he has observed the energy for DeSantis and wants to help boost him to the White House. Other pro-DeSantis PACs have been formed over time, such as Ready for Ron, but the governor’s office has stressed that DeSantis is not connected to them.
