House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said that when House Republicans take over the majority in January, they plan to subpoena the 51 intelligence officers who claimed the Hunter Biden laptop looked like Russian disinformation.
The House speaker hopeful shared details on the House investigation into the Hunter Biden laptop and social media suppression while speaking with Brian Kilmeade on Fox News’s One Nation on Saturday.

“Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong, was Russia collusion — many of them have a security clearance. We’re gonna bring them before a committee. I’m gonna have them have a hearing, bring them, and subpoena them before a committee,” McCarthy said.
McCarthy called out some of the intelligence officers who signed the letter for using their status for political gain.
“Why did they sign it? Why did they lie to the American public? A Clapper, a Brennan? Why did you use the reputation that America was able to give to you more information but use it for a political purpose and lie to the American public?” McCarthy asked.

The California Republican also said he and his colleagues would look into how Facebook and Google suppressed the Hunter Biden story because information about Twitter’s censorship tactics has been revealed through the various iterations of the “Twitter files.”
The comments from McCarthy come as he continues his bid to be speaker of the House and is actively trying to get enough support within the Republican conference to get to the 218 required votes by next month.
