Actor, film producer, and author Kirk Cameron is celebrating the hope of a cultural shift as parents and Christian leaders join his patriotic story-time tour that is heading to Nashville this weekend.

“I called on parents and grandparents, patriots, concerned Americans, and Christian leaders to get off the defense and get on the offense,” Cameron told the Washington Examiner. “Stop whining and complaining about the culture and start creating culture.”

In wanting to help parents push back against “the storm of wokeism that appears to be sweeping the nation,” Cameron hit the road to take his new faith-based children’s book to library story times across the nation.

Cameron’s next stop will be near Nashville, Tennessee, at the Hendersonville Public Library on Feb. 25.

“Tides are really turning right now,” Cameron said. “It’s really, really exciting. More and more people are joining in — celebrities, politicians, athletes, influencers.”

“This is really turning into a prayerful, patriotic, educational gathering of families,” Cameron added.

After around 50 libraries rejected his story-time request in December, Cameron touted victory when two overturned their decision. Since then, he has read his book As You Grow at libraries in New York, Indiana, California, and Georgia as part of a tour he calls the “Freedom Island” tour.
