Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is still seeking answers concerning the cocaine discovered in the West Wing of the White House last week, despite the Secret Service ending its investigation.
The Secret Service announced on Thursday it had concluded its investigation into the cocaine at the executive mansion without any suspects, due to a “lack of physical evidence.”

“Yeah, I would like answers. Because it just seems like any time we have any questions about any unsavory activity around the Bidens, no one can provide an answer conclusively or not,” Mace told reporters at the Capitol on Thursday.
“Someone always ends up lying,” she added.
Mace joined other House Republicans who expressed their dissatisfaction with the investigation’s conclusion. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) told reporters after leaving a classified briefing on the investigation that the Secret Service not identifying any suspects was the “most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life”

The cocaine was discovered on July 2 by staff while President Joe Biden was away at Camp David prior to the Fourth of July holiday. The discovery prompted a brief evacuation of the West Wing.
When asked last week if the cocaine was linked to the Biden family, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre scolded reporters by suggesting it was “irresponsible” to ask because the Bidens were away from the White House when the cocaine was discovered.
