Card, 40, was the suspect in the fatal shooting of 18 people at a recreation center and bar on Wednesday. Law enforcement officers told CNN that Card’s body was discovered with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot would to the head.

Sen. Angus King (D-ME) also confirmed to the Bangor Daily News that Card was dead.
The Maine State Police have scheduled a press conference for 10 p.m.
