Former New York City Mayor and 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg plans to spend $60 million to help boost Democrats in this year’s midterm elections, according to a new report.
The spending includes $11 million to the Democratic Party’s top House super PAC and $15 million to groups such as Planned Parenthood and abortion rights PAC Emily’s List, per a report from the Washington Post.

The report also says that Bloomberg has made more than $1 million in donations to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI), Josh Shapiro (D-PA), Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM), and Gov. Jared Polis (D-CO) for their gubernatorial races.
Bloomberg’s reported investments come as Democrats appear to have a spending disadvantage compared to Republicans for House races in the midterm elections.
The billionaire briefly ran for president in 2020 but failed to gain traction in the primaries despite spending $500 million on his campaign and later endorsed Joe Biden.
