Chicago Bears fans might have just missed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own an iconic piece of the team’s historic Super Bowl XX victory.

A blue-and-orange sweater vest supposedly worn by Head Coach Mike Ditka during the game was pulled from an auction by Heritage Auctions.

Ditka, nicknamed “Da Coach,” did wear a matching sweater during the team’s victory over the New England Patriots, but Heritage Auctions said it was alerted by the Ditka family that the sweater for auction may not be the authentic Super Bowl XX sweater.
