Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough slammed the GOP as a fallen party after six of the candidates at Wednesday’s Republican debate raised their hands and said they would support former President Donald Trump as the nominee even if he was convicted.
“Those candidates raised their hands, except for Asa Hutchinson and Chris Christie, to say they would support a president if he was convicted of stealing nuclear secrets, stealing military war plans to invade Iran, stealing military assessments on what the weakest parts of the United States military was … stealing a presidential election,” Scarborough said.

Trump had everybody around him echo him and was at the head of a conspiracy to get fraudulent electors, according to Scarborough, and members of the Republican Party would still follow him.
“The fact that they would raise their hand and say that they would support a presidential candidate who was convicted, convicted of stealing nuclear secrets, tells you, once again, so much more than you need to know about how low the Republican Party [is] in 2023,” he said.

The fall of the GOP is “sad and pathetic,” according to Scarborough.
