Another company has announced plans to move its headquarters out of California.

Landsea Homes, which designs and builds master-planned communities and houses across the country, will leave Newport Beach, California, in favor of Dallas, Texas.

“We are relocating our corporate headquarters to Dallas, Texas, from Southern California, a move that should provide cost savings over time,” Landsea founder and CEO John Ho
said during a call with investors Tuesday.

Ho says the move will benefit the company in more ways than one.

“In addition to our overall coast-to-coast growth strategy, we are very focused on growing our homebuilding footprint in Texas, and this move demonstrates our strong commitment to the state.”

Chevron, Hewlett Packard, NortonLifeLock, and Kaiser Aluminum have also moved their corporate offices out of California in recent years.

It’s not just companies leaving California either. A recent survey found Texas and Florida topped the list of states where people are moving to for the third year in a row.
