It’s Presidents Day, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has a plan for the country.
Instead of celebrating the birthdays of America’s Founding Fathers, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, the Georgia GOP firebrand is calling for a “national divorce,” tweeting that red and blue states need to separate and go their own ways. She is also advocating shrinking the federal government.
“We need a national divorce,” Greene tweeted. “From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrats’ traitorous America Last politics, we are done.”
This is incredibly insulting.

This isn’t the first time Greene has called for a divorce. She first suggested the idea in 2021.
“All possible in a National Divorce scenario,” Greene wrote on Twitter in December 2021. “After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida. Brainwashed people that move from CA and NY really need a cooling off period.”
Greene’s call for a national split came after a busy morning of slamming President Joe Biden for leaving his domestic responsibilities behind to take a 10-hour train ride from Poland to the war-torn Ukrainian capital of Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky on the first anniversary of the war with Russia.
During a joint news conference, Biden pledged America’s “unwavering” support for the battered country and announced an additional $500 million in military aid, which didn’t sit well with Greene and several Republicans. The money will go toward artillery ammunition, Javelin missiles, and howitzers. Biden did not comment on a specific ask by Ukraine for long-range weapons and fighter jets.

Greene was also insulted by Zelensky, who opted not to “wear a tie as he greets the President of the United States.”
“He gladly takes our money in sweatshirts and t-shirts, but Biden is dressed up,” she added. “So insulting.”

She also wants Biden booted entirely from office.
“We must impeach this America Last fool before it’s too late,” Greene said.
